【 male (cis flavor) | 17 years old | 5'11" | "straight with exceptions" 】A second year student at Kamiyama High, and a solo artist who frequents the street music scene on Vivid Street.Mita Kotaro is a bit of a troublemaker, both purposefully and on accident, what with his impulsivity and occasional lack of critical thinking. He has a slight jealous streak, and aside from that, he tends to find great joy in teasing others (despite his glaring weakness to being given a taste of his own medicine), so he often ends up saying things without thinking them through, which results in anything ranging from hurt feelings to little more than Kotaro looking like a fool. Despite this, he does have a good heart and a good sense of responsibility, frequently owning up to his mistakes and looking after others when he thinks they need it, and he has been slowly but surely trying his best to become a better person over time.He's also been working hard on improving as a street musician, realizing that he too wishes to surpass RAD WEEKEND alongside Vivid BAD SQUAD and the others. It's a rough journey, especially knowing he's the weakest link of the large group he's found himself in, but he's determined to see it through to the end, and he'll hype up whatever crowd he performs for along the way. He hasn't always been as dedicated to street music as he thinks he ought to be, and now, he's more than ready to change that.

‣ Has a Sekai, which he shares with Mai. It currently has three Virtual Singers in it: Miku, Luka, and Rin, with Miku being the most consistently active, both in and out of the Sekai.‣ In class 2-B at Kamiyama High, and is classmates with Rui. They're friends! And extremely annoying to everyone else.‣ Has a stage name that he picked out a long time ago, but he doesn't actually seem to use it...?‣ Highly passionate about his music, and gets even more defensive about it than he does about himself.‣ Adores any and all forms of praise, even if it's about something strange, and will often do better in the future after receiving said praise. His work ethic is fueled by positive reinforcement. (He's also easily persuaded by being sweet-talked, but that's neither here nor there.)‣ Likes to think of himself as Vivid BAD SQUAD's biggest fan, though he's usually a little embarrassed to admit it if one of its members confronts him about it. Viewing them as friends, rivals, and inspirations, he's ready to defend and root for all of them, from anything and anyone, no matter how much of an underdog position it may be.‣ Exceptionally animated. His emotions are pretty erratic, and he has a tendency to bounce between being smiley, being a little bit of a shitter, and pouting really hard. Most of the time, it's all just exaggeration, and it's pretty easy to tell when he's actually being genuine about something, whether that's a positive emotion or a negative one.‣ Has a bit of a problem with jealousy, and sometimes lets his frustration get the better of him. He's been working on both of these issues, and it does still sneak out of him unintentionally at times, but he likes to think he's much better about it these days.‣ Somewhat cowardly when it comes to most kinds of serious confrontations, with his first instinct being flight (or even freeze), not fight. This changes depending on the situation, and if he feels protective over someone, he'll stand his ground, but he's typically far more bark than he is bite.‣ Despite his flaws, he's pretty prone to feeling a lot of guilt whenever he messes up, and will apologize as many times as it takes to feel better (or as many times as it comes up), even if the person he's apologizing to has already forgiven him. He's a little soggy that way.‣ Surprisingly perceptive and a bit empathetic, even if he is somewhat dimwitted at times. He's able to notice small changes in someone's behavior when their mood is off pretty easily, though he can't always figure out what the reason behind it is.‣ Despite how his behavior might lead you to think, he's actually quite good at looking after people. He's more responsible than he looks, offering whatever aid he can whenever someone's relying on him, and when it comes to injuries or illnesses, he has a surprisingly gentle hand when taking care of them. He usually ends up being way nicer during times like these, which has been used as fuel to mess with him more than a few times.‣ While he's always adored his little brother, there was a period of time where there was palpable tension between himself and his parents. He's since worked this out with them, and things are a lot more relaxed and lighthearted at home these days, much to everyone's relief.‣ Because of this period in his life, where he tended to be more rebellious and stayed out of the house more often, he developed the ability to fall asleep basically anywhere. He doesn't mind laying on hard surfaces, like the ground, a desk, or a bench, and can find comfort pretty easily. It's an awkward reason to pick up on a skill, but he's happy to have it.

You still tend to apologize a little too much to her, and feel bad about things that may or may not be worth feeling bad about, but she's always so bright and smiling, you can't actually feel that down when you're around her. You've even discovered that the two of you are somewhat alike, and that it's easy to understand a majority of the things she says, even if grumpy people like Akito can't figure it out. It's fun! He's kind of annoying and very roundabout, and you'd love to grab him by the head and dunk him it into a toilet just to see how he reacts. But, somehow, some way, there's definitely this weird unspoken bond between you two that you can't really describe in any way that makes sense.You like him a lot, that much is obvious. That's why you're such good friends. If you didn't, you would've started avoiding him a long time ago. But there's a lot of similarities between you two, and how you act. Your mannerisms are a little different, to be sure, but you share a lot more in common with each other than you ever really would have thought you would. (Somehow, you get the sense that you both share a sort of distinct loneliness that's pretty hard to put into words properly. But maybe that's because you're both pretty prone to avoiding talking about that kind of thing... or something like that.)Regardless of these weird mixed feelings, you do enjoy his company. It's fun being around him, with all of the teasing and the bickering and the generally being a bastard thing you two tend to do. You feel like a jackass, and you feel like you've disappointed her more times than you can count on one hand.But even despite that, she's your Virtual Singer, and she believes in you. Every single day, she wants you to do your best, and even if her way of supporting you is about as dogshit as your own, she is supporting you. She wants to make you proud as much as you want to make her proud, and even despite all the bickering and the fighting and being dismissive of each other, you do care about each other.And isn't that just a little bit nice?Miku's been supporting you for a long time, and even now, she still wants you to find your "true feelings". You're not sure if you've found them yet, or if you ever will, but you want to try. You want to try, and you want to become a better person, a better musician, a better friend.
